SUMATEC has recognized the potential involved in the business of shipping, provision of shipping related service, operating petroleum tankers and hiring and chartering of petroleum tankers.

Recognising the ever increasing the demand for petroleum and chemical products from the oil companies in Malaysia, SUMATEC has in 2004 acquired a well established Shipping Companies- Semua Shipping Group of Companies which have the proven track records of more than 20 years in the coastal tanker management business and have established excellent business relationship with many of the international oil companies especially SHELL & ESSO group of companies.

Currently, the acquired companies only transport petroleum products such as fuel oil, gas oil, jet fuel and Mogases from oil refineries to relevant destination such as oil depots at various Malaysian Ports for Shell and Exxonmobil group of companies.

Semua Shipping have a dynamic, capable and motivated team of Senior management, qualified master mariner Captains and skill crews. They operate a fleet of six oil tankers under the various charter contracts supply to the petroleum companies. The Oil Tankers are fully equipped with modern "state-of-art" ship tracking system like shiploc and other communicating system approved by relevant authorities.

In the near future SUMATEC have the capabilities to diversify by way of securing new customers, new charter contract for different type of petroleum product as well as transporting petroleum products to international ports to serve the oversea market of the customers.
