KUALA LUMPUR: Sumatec Resources Bhd's unit Sumatec Corp Sdn Bhd has been awarded a contract with a provisional value of RM450mil for work on 10 sites in Peninsular Malaysia from Perbadanan Industri Halal Bhd (PIHB).  

"The contract involves the design-and-build concept which comprises all architectural and interior civil and structure, mechanical and engineering works at various sites proposed by Sumatec and approved by HB," it said in a filing with Bursa Malaysia.  

Sumatec said the contract was expected to contribute to the company's overall earnings and shareholders' value for the financial year ending Dec 31, 2009.
